PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
HighBuild S-500 is a waterproofing high-viscosity glue-mastic modified with polymers with the addition of inert fillers. The material is not subject to the damaging effects of ultraviolet radiation, alkalis, salts, a number of acids and is resistant to biological destruction. It is odorless and water based.
HighBuild S-500 – is the latest product designed to strengthen and reduce the cost of laying tiles, stone, marble, plastic and other facing materials in the bathroom, water closets, basements, balconies, terraces and wherever you need to protect the surface from water and moisture penetration. The use of bituminous rubber TilLar glue will allow you to perform both floor waterproofing and laying of any facing material in one operation.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
HighBuild S-500 -is a powerful glue-mastic that can be used on both horizontal and vertical surfaces. You can glue any facing materials made of ceramics, plastic, marble, artificial stone, and etc. on HighBuild S-500.
HighBuild S-500 is frost-resistant, non-toxic and non-flammable. The material has a sound-absorbing effect. After complete drying, the material can be exposed to cycles of freezing and de-freezing more than 500 times.
PREPARATION OF THE BASE BEFORE APPLYING THE EMULSION
The base for HighBuild S-500 glue shall be clean, dry, and free of substances that prevent adhesion (grease, dust, stains from gasoline and diesel fuel, etc.).
PERFORMANCE OF WORK
BEFORE USE, THE GLUE SHALL BE MIXED WITH A CONSTRUCTION MIXER AT MEDIUM SPEEDS UNTIL YOU GET A HOMOGENEOUS MASS!!!
Since the material is a dense mass with an inert filler, HighBuild S-500 is applied with a spatula – a comb, like a conventional cement tile glue. When using the glue on a porous base in the form of a screed, it is recommended to pre-treat the surface with a primer.
CONSUMPTION
Consumption depends on the thickness of the desired gluing layer. To get the gluing layer with the thickness of 1.5 mm, the consumption of the glue will be ≈ 2.0 kg/m².
At an ambient temperature of +25°C and relative humidity of 50%, HighBuild S-500 dries completely within 24 hours. The drying time increases as the temperature drops and humidity rises.
RECOMMENDATIONS DURING THE PERFORMANCE OF WORK
Work should be carried out at ambient temperature from
+5°C to + 30°C and relative air humidity no more than 80%. The material is a medium alkaline substance.
Wear protective clothing, goggles and gloves while working. Wash off fresh dirt with water. Cured material can be removed with white spirit solution. If the emulsion gets into the eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical help.
When using the material, please, follow the current regulations related to construction.
STORAGE
The material shall be stored in undamaged tightly closed packaging in a dry place at a temperature no lower than +5°C. The shelf life is within 6 months from the date of manufacture indicated on the packaging.
An opened package of HighBuild S-500 glue shall be used within 4 hours.
WARNING
Keep away from children. Protect from freezing!
The glue should not be applied at an ambient temperature below +5°C and if the rain is expected within 24 hours after the application. Do not apply the material onto wet or frozen surfaces. Avoid contact of the material with any solvents.
When applying this product, please, follow safety guidelines, wear gloves, goggles, and other appropriate protective equipment.
